About our presenter – William “Chip” Shields
William “Chip” Shields of Schaeffer Oil Company is fifth-generation in the oil industry. His great-great grandfather founded this St. Louis-based lubes and fuel additives business by that name in 1839.
Chip has been a Schaeffer Sales Rep in N/NE Portland since 2013. He received his certification as a Certified Level I Machinery Lubrication Technician from the International Council on Machinery Lubrication in 2014. His customers include Ivey Racing Engines and numerous diesel performance outfits like Vision Diesel in Aurora and DFI Performance Center in Scappose. He is a member of the Northwest Utility Contractors Association, the Oregon Concrete and Aggregate Producers, Food Northwest, the Oregon Manufacturing Innovation Center, the Pacific Northwest Steel Fabricators Association, the Oregon Refuse and Recycling Association, the Portland Executives Association and Portland Metro Chamber of Commerce.
About the Venue – Amalfi’s Restaurant in Northeast Portland
Amalfi’s is a staple gathering place in the Alameda neighborhood of NE Portland. Established in 1959, it’s a destination for classic Italian comfort-food, fresh hand-crafted cocktails, rotating brews and ample wine.
The Chianti room, located upstairs above the restaurant for private dining, offers a modern Italian setting with warm colors, arched windows and intimate lighting.
