If you would like to close out the season with a laid back fun event then check out the Oregon Festival of Cars in Bend, Oregon September 15-17th, 2023. The event is held on the grass at the Deschutes Historical Museum.

As always, the weekend promises to be a must-do for automotive enthusiasts. We revel in the joy of cars that are fun to own and drive, and we enjoy the company of their owners. The focus is always on having a good time.
The Festival Barbeque
We have a new banquet experience this year – a real Tennessee BBQ! Our friends at Crux Fermentation Project are providing the venue and their chef (who comes from Tennessee), in their large tent on the Crux brewery site. So expect a casual dinner with great food and beer, and the usual festivities that always leave you with fond memories.
So, here’s the schedule:
Friday, September 15
Meet at Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo at 9:00 am for a group drive to Bend. Expect small roads, but big fun, more info to come.
Arrive at the Festival host hotel, the Bend Residence Inn, 2:00 pm or later for the Festival Beer Wash, with beer hosted by Crux Fermentation Project, and car wash supplies donated by Jim Domings of Dad’s Detail.
Registration/check-in from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Crux Fermentation Project.
Saturday, September 16
It’s Festival Day! Arrive at the Deschutes Historical Museum between 8:30 am and 9:30 am for show placement.
10:00 am the Festival starts! Enjoy the cars, jazz music, Museum, meet new people and rekindle old friendships.
Award ceremony at 2:00 pm.
The Festival Barbeque starts at 5:30 pm. More on that below.
Sunday, September 17
Meet at 9:00 am for the ever-popular Sunday Dash, more details to come. There’s no better way to get those clean cars dirty!
The Dash ends at lunch, and then it’s back to the real world.
Accommodations
The Residence Inn is once again our host hotel and is offering us special Festival pricing. Our room block is limited, so call right away (541-382-5001), tell them you’re with the Festival, and get the deals while they last. Reservation deadline is August 15, or until the rooms are all gone.
